SHOOTING
SUBURBS CLUB On Saturday the Suburbs Rifle Club fired the second match of the championship at 700 and 800 yards. The conditions were very bad for good shooting. T. The Karori Club commenced their championship series on Saturday at Trentham, the match being 10 shots at 300 and 10 shots at 500. yards. Despite the effects of a choppy southerly, which necessitated frequent changes in windage, some excellent scores were made. At 300 yards F. Ching made a possible, and Deputy. President H. V. Croxtqn and A. V. Swanson only failed to gam the same honour by 1 point At 500 yards F. Ching scored 46, while H. V. Croxton and A. V. Swanson each scored 48, their totals being 97 out of a possible of 100. This match concluded the club s second fortnightly competition, the results being -.—Scratch men, A. V. Swanson 190, H. V.
