Dairv production in the South Tar? anaki district for the first four months of the current season (July to Octo? ber) shows a substantial increase compared with the corresponding period of last year. The five biggest producing companies in the area show in? creases ranging approximately from sto 12{ per cent. The returns for October are tlie highest so far this season, one company showing a phenomenal difference of 20 per cent, over October of last year. The estimated payout for October over the southern portion of the province on the aver- v age of Is. id. per lb. will be approximately £lOO,OOO.
