TWO MEN ARRESTED. ■BY TBLBaBABHV-KptSS ASiiticj .’ 'IIO: ' Auckland, November 12. Ronald George Collins (33) and Francis EdwardHiggle’ (24) appeared' at ’ the Court this morning. Collins was charged with stealing £l4 6s. Bd. from the Wellington office, of ; the Provident ?Life ■ Insurance Company, and Higgle with -attempting to obtain; with-intent to defraud, £5 commission from Neville W. Travis. Both were remanded, the police stating that numerous other charges from various parts of z the • - Dominion ■ would be preferred against Collins. The arrest was brought about, by one of the accused opening a bank account in' a fictitious name, and issuing valueless cheques. The police found their quarry in a restaurant. . As both men were being escorted to the car, one made a dash for liberty. He was pursued down the waterfront by Travis and a struggle ensued. A constable supplied needy reinforcement aud took the man into custody. , ' '
