MYSTERIOUS BURGLARY
AT SCENE OF BRUNNER . TRAGEDY. ■ London, November 10. A' mysterious burglary is reported at Green 1 Cottage, Roehampton; the scene :< f the Brunner tragedy.. Burglars broke ■in while the butler an-' his wife were absent at the . funeral, ransacked the bedroom.where the shooting occurred, and examined' documents, cheque-books, and t, ivafe'papdrs, strewing valuables about the room, but apparently taking nothing. Th- drawers of Princess Leichtenstein s bureau were-forced, an the contents ex-, a -.ined .. and flung aside. The burgjars were conversant with die house, and proceeded directly to the bedroom, to which thev confined their attentions.—Sydney' “Sun" Cable. / * (Rec. November 11, 7.55 p.m.) , London, November 11. The police are puzzled as to the object of the burglary at the house m which the Brunners were shot. Valuables were discarded, while drawers were rifled, and "'documents scattered, suggesting that' the intruders, who obviously were amateur Cracksmen, were seeking trade or other secrets.
