GLENMORE ROAD
SPOIL FOR WIDENING PURPOSES.
The Works Committee recommended the City Council last night, to accept the offer of tlie Reserves Department to endeavour to supply spoil from the adjacent hill to fill the gully at Glenmore Street in order that this street may be widened prior to paving. . Councillor W. J.. Thompson (chairman of the Reserves Committee) stated that he had informed the Works Committee that the Reserves Committee wou d have to consider whether they could supply the spoil, as no levels had yet been taken. .. r> Councillor B. G. H. Burn said the Reserves Committee bad never considered the question of supplying spoil for the purpose suggested. . Councillor R. McKeen said he was opposed to any spoil being taken riom the Town Belt. . , Councillor H. D.
