Colin Leighton, late proprietor' of the People’s Auction was committed to the Supreme Court for trial on fourteen charges of failure to account for moneys. Two charges of failure to pay within seven days of demand, and failure to pay the proceeds of a sale into, a trust account, accused pleaded not guilty and the cases were adjourned until after the Supreme Court session.
