f At Ibe quarterly meeting of the Taranaki Street Circuit, the Ilev. C. Laton presided over a record attendance. Tlie membershto showed a slight net increase. with over 700 members in the circuit. The balance-sheet showed a surplus due to conference functions and no special allocations. The reports on the opening of all Sunday schools on the previous Sunday were considered very encouraging. Bib’e Class work was reported to be aggressive, in al 1 centres. Mr. Armstrong was appointed homeand foreign mission secretary, witli a strong committee to assist in tlie campaign. Congratulations were expressed to Air. 11. I’. Mourant us vice-president of the t-oiiference, and a we'come was extended ‘o Sister Olive, now in charge at Aro Sticet. The major part of the »-vening was devoted to a discussion on the spiritual advance campaign, end many proposals were made. Ultimately, proposals for special meetings as outlined by the Rev. C. Eaton were adopted, con--is’ing of a. special call to pray-i meetings in May. to be followed by the Rev. ’’damires visit in June, and a series of meetings by members in July.
