PROHIBITION MASS MEETING

In connection with the annual meeting of the N.Z. Alliance on Thursday, May 7,. a mass meeting is to be held in the main Town Hall at 8 p.m. The chair will be taken by Mr. John I. Boyds, of Christchurch, president of the N.Z. Alliance. The speakers will be Mrs. Rachel Don, Dominion president W.C.T.U., who has just returned from an extended visit to tiie U.S.A., and will speak on “America Up To Date.” and the Rev. Lionel B. Fletcher, of Auckland, whose topic is “The Challenge of the. Present 'World Crisis.” Mr. Fletcher is paster of the Beresford Street Congregational Church, and is said to Ire one of the most brilliant platform men south of the equator. Prior to the meeting a community sing, under the direction of Mr. IV. J. Mason, is to commence at 7.30 p.m.
