IN KODAK £5OO COMPETITION FOR MARCH

Periodically the Kodak Proprietary holds valuable prize competitions for amateur photographers which excite widespread interest. For March last £5OO was awarded in prizes for the best animal picture, the first prize award of £5O going to the photograph reproduced above —“The Lioness,” by J. D. Hav, Pendarnes Street, New Plymouth. Other principal prize-winners in the senior class were as follow:— Second Prize, £lO.-—Lilian B. Ralph, “Pine Bank,” 85 Webb Street, Wellington.

Third Prize, £7 10s.—O. Bertling, care Post Office, Rotorua Fourth Prize, £s—Miss Margaret Elliot, 11 Baisweil Street, Wanganui. Junior Class B. First Prize, £lO.—E. Gifford, 6 Shannon Street, Wellington. . Second Prize, £4.—Miss Hazel Lar. ruer, Opotiki, Bav of Plenty. Third Prize, £3.—Miss Betty Bilton, Shelford Cottage, Plimmerton. Fourth Prize, £2.—Miss Freda Sydenham, care Mrs. Young, 20 Wanganui Avenue, Herne Bay, Auckland.
