NELSON NOTES
At the annual meeting of the Nelson Pick and Wounded Soldiers’ Fund. Hon. W. W. Snodgrass, M.L.C., was re-elect-ed president, and Dr. Belt and Messrs. N. A. Vercoe and A. B. Kidson were re-e.lectel members of the Town Committee. The newlv-elected officers of tho Nelson Chess Cub are—President. Captain Yoncrieff; vice-presidents, Messrs. G. U. Dodds, A. L. Rowo; general committee, Messrs. J. l D. Kemp, E. 11. Severno, B. Trathen, J. Satherley, E. Caradus; selection committtee, Messrs. E. IT. Severne, G. F. Dodds, and the secretary; secretary. Mr. C. N. Williamson: treasurer, Mr. L. F. Purcell. According to the report submitted to the annual meeting of the Y.M.C.A., good work i» being done among the young people of the community. The hone was expressed (that the membership would increase sufficiently to enable the activities of the association to be stil’ further extended. Messrs. F. Mitchell and 14. Caradus were elected tn fill the vacancies on the board of directors. Mr. Rowo was appointed recording secretary, and Mr. Caradus lion.
