THE WILL AND THE WAY. No. 11.—Without Fear or Favour. It is not enough for a testator to take every practicable precaution to assure the efficient, business-like administration of his estate. Impartiality in administration is as important as efficiency. “Without fear or favour" must be the guiding principle in all dealings with the legatees. Events have proved in all countries that some trustees have not (acted impartially, and others have acted in a spirit of mistaken kindness which has opened the way to ' ultimate injustice. There is no risk of that kind with the Public Trustee. He has no prejudice, no bias, shows no favour, in the administration of an estate. He acts in strict fairness to all concerned. No argument can induce him to swerve from tho strict execution of his trust. This assurance of impartiality is as solid an advantage as the State guarantee of safety and fidelity.
