THE SOUTH AFRICAN TEAM. Mr. A. T. Davies, president of the N.Z.A.A.A., has received the following cablegram from Mr. Ira G. Emery, manager of the South African amateur athletic team, which arrived at Adelaide by the Ascanius last Friday" Springboks prefer compete for medals and certificates instead of trophies; relays all distances; arrange plenty meetings; men competing individually and collectively throughout.
