RIFLE SHOOTING
PETONE LADIES’ MINIATURE CLUB. The Petone Ladies’ Miniature Rifle Club closed their season on AVednesday night when a. triangular match was fired with tho National Reserve and Petone Working Men’s Club, which resulted in a win for the reserve. Possibles (70) were scored by Messrs. Wilson (Reserve) and Thompson (P.W.M.C.). Individual scores are as follow:—
National Reserve. —Messrs. Kerr, 67; Campbell, 69; Bond. 61; Guinney, 65; Scott, 67; Morris, 66; Wilson, 70; Hoskins, 54; Burns, 65; Ansjow, 62: total, 646.
P.W.M.C.—Messrs. Parkinson, 57; Richardson, 65; Fisher, 62; Burke, 67; Thorn, son, 68; Nicholas, 65; Dickson, 63; Bowden, 45; O'Connell, 62; Thompson, 70: total, 62-1. Petone Ladies. —Mrs. Fuller, 64; Mrs. Milburn. 47; Mrs. AVild, 65; Mrs. Nicholas, 65; Mrs. Warner, 62; Mrs. Cun. liffe, junr., 63; Mrs. Emmett, 58; Mrs. Cunliffe, senr., 59; Miss Wild, 65; Mrs. Galvin, 53: total, 601.
Supper was served by the ladies, after which presentation of trophies won during the season was made by Mr. J. Scott, who congratulated the ladies on the splendid shooting done during the season; keen interest had been shown in the competitions, which had all been very closely contested. Mrs. Wild, who was successful in. winning the A grado segregate, put up an average of 64.3 for tho whole season, while Miss Wild, who won the aggregate for the B grade, averaged 63.5.
