LOWER HUTT RATEPAYERS’ ASSOCIATION
NOMINATIONS FOR MAYORALTY AND COUNCIL. At a fully-attended meeting of the Lower Hutt Ratepayers’ Association it was decided to nominate Mr. S. Clendon as a candidate for the forthcoming Borough Council election, and to cooperate for the election of Mr. W. Strand as Mayor on the gasworks question issue. A motion was passed calling upon them if. elected to use their best endeavours for pushing on arrangements for the supply of electricity to the borough.
