A TIMELY RESCUE

MAN PLUCKED PROM THE HARBOUR. The value of knowing something about resuscitation of drowning persons was forcibly exemplified on the waterfront, yesterday morning, when prompt action undoubtedly saved a human life. As Air. Dennehy was passing The Point he saw the body of a man floating in the harbour. Though almost certain that life was extinct, Air. Dennehy, who knows something about resuscitation methods, at once got the body ashore, and started a vigorous attempt to restore animation. After working for some time his efforts were rewarded with success, and the man, whose, name was Robert Rankin, of Ilighbnrv Road. Kelburn was removed to the hospital, where he is making satisfactory progress towards complete recovery. Air. Denne'hy is given great credit- for his prompt action and effective lifesaving methods.
