An attempt is to be made to compile a record of war slang. Tho secretary of the Imperial War Museum has asked for notes on. the subject, giving the slang terms used, in the British Army, together with the meaning of the term, and, if possible, the derivation. It is quite understood that many of these terms are not fit for polite conversation, but at the same time it is considered that’ they will be valuable for record purposes.
