In view of the prediction of the Prim# Minister that we are possibly on ths evo of a cheap money era, investors looking for ti solid, profitable investment will take more than a. passing interest in the Christchurch Tramway Board’s .£85,G00 Loan, which it offers at the increased rate of Interest of 6£ per cent, and repayable October 1, 1934. The security is a gilt-edged one —one of the best in New, Zetland—embracing as it does a rate to cover interest and sinking fund leviable over the City of Christchurch and a number of Suburban Districts, the capital value of which is 1119,000,000; also the Tramway undertaking itself (subject to existing charges). Interest, half-yearly, will be paid free of exchange in New Zealand or Australia. Exchange will also be paid by the Board on principal moneys, when received and when repaid.
