MAGISTRATE’S COURT

POLICE PROCEEDINGS. The police business at the Magistrate’s Court yesterday was taken by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. Raymond J. Clark, convicted of drunkenness for the second time, was fined 10s., in default 48 hours’ imprisonment, and for discharging offensive matter on tho street he was fined a further 405., in default seven days’ imprisonment. Peter Peterson was fined 205., with tho option of three days’ imprisonment, on being convicted of drunkenness for tho third time. A. Antonovick and F. Moss were charged with attempting to commit a breach of the peace. It was shown in evidence that Moss made a rude remark to Antonovick, who struck out at him. The charge against the latter was dismissed, and Moss was fined 20s.
