ALLEGED THEFT OF GUM
3 THREE MEN ACCUSED. Bv Telegraph—Pre is Association. Dargaville, November 25. Three men—Charles Lawrence Copedo, Percy D. Ward, and Martin Robert Mailer—were brought before two Justices of tho Peace to-day, and charged with stealing a quantity of gum at Redhtll from Jones Bros., Young and Co., Cochrane Bros., and a returned one-armed soldier named Cochrane. Accused wero remanded for eight days. A number of complaints have been made recently m respect to gum-stealing, which is particularly hard to detect.
