The monthly medal handicap figured on tho card of tho Wellington Golf Club on Saturday afternoon, when the weather conditions were ideal, and the greens and fairway at the Heretaunga links In capital order. The scratch men had aii off day, and none of them played up to forip, with tho result that tho honoiTrs were carried off by the middle distance competitors. The niedal was won by K. Stewart, who, from the 8, mark, went round in 81, giving him a net score of 73. Next to him came J. S. B. Bruges, whoso card read 89 —14 7.> t , H. It. 11. Balneavls Mso did an 81, but as his handicap is oiliy '2, he was among the also starteds. The best cards returned read as follows: —K. Stewart, 81 gross, 8 handicap, 73 net; J. 8. U. Bruges, 89—14—75; E. Wilson, 84—8—76; M.Doughty, 83-6-77; J. B. Parker. 86-8-78; A. Strong, 85-6—79; H. R. HBalneavis. 81—2—79.
