A mountain of calcium phosphate, or lime. 25 miles long by 10 miles wide, is located 20 miles north of Las Cruces. New Mexico. The lime oozes out of the earth like the waters of a boiling spring, and when the sun is shining brightly one cannot look on its glaring whiteness without wearing smoked ; glasses.
