BOWLS
WELLINGTON CENTRE. A meeting of the Wellington Bawling Centre WM held on Tuesday night. Mr. M. J. Hodgins presided. The chairman reported that inquiries had been made in respect to the tabictesting of bowls but no definite concluE had been arrived at. Bowlers were advised to send their bowls to the official tester as early as possible as no tasting would be done after the end of November. The Wanganui Centre intimated that it would be unable to KO nd teams to Wellington this season on account of heavy engagements being entered into, but that a visit from teams from Wellington would be welcomed. A communication was received from thei executive commiltoe of the Domtuion of New Zealand Bowling Association, stating that there was no difficulty in regard to the suggested alteration of the centre’s constitution, giving ft club power to elect a substitute to attend a meeting of the centre. Tt was decided to accept an invitation. from the Wafrarapa Centre to send t</»nis to Wairarapa in February. Mr.. A. G. 'Edwards was appointed to represent the centre on the committee «if members of sports bodies set up in respect to the building of a pavilion on tho Basin Reserve. . A letter was received from the Nelson Centre enclosing an itinerary of the proposed visit of Wellington bowlers to Nelson. It was decided to accept any arrangements that may bo made by Nelson, and as a number of bowlers havo been provided for, it was resolved to invito bowlers who- had not already sent in their names, who were desirous of making tho trip, to do so as e.irly as possible. Jt was also decided .to accept an invitation, to visit Blenheim. Tho eight rinks to visit Nelson and Marlborough leave for Nelson on November 21. ' ,
