Statistical returns presented to the Methodist Synod of the Hawke’s Bay and Manawatu district, which at present is sitting here, show that in tho district there are 45 churches, 48 other Pleaching places, 2352 members, and 26,711 attending public worship. The Sunday school returns show tho number of E sy'° ol teachers to be 249 and of scholars JJ3B.
