Tn the Supreme Court yesterday. His Honour Afr. Justice Reed dismissed an appeal by'the Wellington Hospital Board against a decision of Afr. J. S. Evans, S.Af., in awarding James William Alartin .£35 damages as the result of a collision between Martin’s car and the hospital ambulance at the entrance to the hospital drive some months ago. Air Evans "held that the plaintiff had not been guilty of contributory negligence, nnd that the,accident had been due to tho manner in which the ambulance driver lin'd entered tlie street from the hospital drive. Mr. T. Ncave appeared Hospital Board and Mr. F. J. O’Regan for the respondent. The Judge gave his decision without calling on Air. O’Regan to reply to counsel for the appellant.
