The Anglican Synod to-night passed a resolution deploring the increased facilities tor divorce afforded by the Divorce Act, 1920, and welcoming the statement by Mr Massey that New Zealand has none Ico far and that the Act must be an. ended. The. following resolution was also carried-.-“ That section 4 of the Divorce Act of 1920, in allowing a decree of divorce, to be pronounced against a person entirely innocent of any matrimonial offencesin favour of one who has been guilty of such an offence and in effect because of such guilt, introduces into the law a principle so pernicious and so grossly unjust as to render imperative its instant repeal.
