MacDonald, a visitor from the United States, addressed p. large audience in the Empress Theatre last night on the subject of "Banned Literature.” He urged the need for collective action, and asserted that tho attitude of the Government regarding banned literature was. insane. Record entries, totalling 2489, hav, been received for the Wairarapa Show, to be held this week. Last year’s tot*' was 2087.
