DISPUTE ABOUT A KITCHEN
In our report of the civil action Mace v. Plimmer, a claim for £55 balance of account on tho erection of a new kitchen, tho evidence of the witnesses called by the plaintiff in support of his claim was very briefly summarised in general terms. Messrs. P. C AAtatt and E. S. Knight, builders and contractors, testified that in their opinion the charges were fair and reasonable, and that they were rather below than above the usual charges for such work. Mr. Williams, architect, also expressed the opinion that the charges were reosonablo, white Mr. Clere, architect, was called to give evidence as to the difficulty ; of any outsider estimating the cost of such work, involving alterations, after tho work had been completed. Sub-con-tractors engaged on the work also supported the claim ns to plastering, etc. We regret that our summary inadequately covered tho evidence adduced by the plaintiff in support of his claim.
