GRADING OF TEACHERS
AMENDED REGULATIONS. Amended .regulations for the grading of teachers and regulations for appeals of teachers against their classification ~or grading have been gazetted. Tn respect to the grading of teachers it is provided that certificated teachers employed on th" staff of a normal school snail be placed in groups as follow :—£22o-£250, £otfl-£°7o £260--C2BO, grading group 3; £290-T3lo’, £3OO-J!320, £320-£3lO, -£340£3BO, group 4; £3.50-390, group 5. Certificated teachers who aro for t.ie time being employed in secondaryschools, technical schools, or private registered schools, or who havo not been in tho employment of an education board for a period ot three years preceding the date of their application for grading, may be placed in such grouns as shall, on tho recommendation of* an inspector of schools, be approved by the director, and such grading shall bo deemed a provisional grading. . Clause 13 of fho regulations is amended by the addition of the following proviso :-‘TrOvlded that teaching service in olher countries or in schools other than public schools shall be counted to an extent that shall bo determined in each case, bv the Director.” ___
