ALARMING PREVALENCE AMONG WOMEN IN SYDNEY. (Rec. October 13, 7.20 p.m.) Sydney, October 13. At a conference of churchwomen some startling allegations were made regarding the alarming prevalence of smoking and drinking among young girls in Sydney. The "Daily Telegraph," commenting on tho charges, says: "Smoking nnd drinking are certainly alarmingly prevalent among many women in Sydney, but it is years since these women wero young.”—Press Assn.
