King to pay Selwyn Hooson X 9 os. Gd., in default eight days’ 'imprisonment, warrant to be suspended provided X2 per month is paid. E. Middleton is to pay Bernard J. MTvenna X6O 2s. 10d., in default 30 days’ imprisonment, warrant to be suspended bo long as ho pays X 8 per month. W. A. L. Morison was ordered to pay Dr. L. H. Line ss. per week until a debt of X 4 17s. 6d. is paid off. J n order was made for James Deane' to pay Mrs. M. J. iPLeod X 6 6s. 6d„ in default seven days’ imprisonment, warrant to bo suspended provided X2 per month is paid. Norman J. Thomas was ordered to pay 30s, per month in liquidation of a debt of X 6 Ils. due to James Smith, Ltd. David Bergensen was ordered to pay Clement Walker 20s. per month, in settlement of a claim for Xll Bs. K. Howan is to pay A. H. Miles Xl2 Bs. Gd. by instalments of 30s. per month. Arthur S. Pike was ordered to pay Sutherland and Eankine X2 10s., in default" tlfree days’ imprisonment, warrant to be suspended for one month. Mary Flynn is to pay William J. Haines Xl3 12s. 4d. by instalments of 20s. per month. NEGLIGENCE OF A SERVANT. H. J. S. Richards, chemist, Willis Street, sou"ht to recover from the Wellington Cleaning Co. X 9 17s. lOd. for damage to an electric globe sign which it was alleged, was caused through the negligence of the defendant’s servant. After hearing evidence and argument, Mr. E. Page, S.M., held that negligence on the part of the servant had been, established, anti gave judgment for plaintiff fa* the amount claimed, with costa.

BY-LAW BREACHES For driving a motor-car on tho wrong aide of Moleswbrth Street, J. R. Casej' was fined 10s. and 7s. costs. W. Taylor was fined 10s. and 7s. costs for having no headlight showing on his motor-oar. For leaving their motor vehicles unattended ■in the streets, H. F. Marsh was fined ss. and 7s. costs: L. Barton and H. Murphy, each fined 10s. and is. costs; J Leach, cojivictod and ordered to pay 7s. costs: W. A. Fordham, fined ss. and 7s. costs. E. G. Jenkins-was convicted and ordered to pay "s. costs for having no tail light showing on his motor-car. C E Donnellv w-as fined 50s. for driving his car into" Old Customhouse Street and leaving it unattended near tho exit of a picture theatre. . For driving in the prohibited portion of Courtenay Place, F. A. Stempa was fined 10s. and 7s. costs. P. Olsen was fined 40s. and costs -is. for allowing stock to wander at Island allowing a chimney in his dwelling to catch fire, S. T. Reed was fined ss. and 7s. costs.
