The engineer (Mr. E. A. Gumbloy) reported at last night’s meeting of tho Hutt Borough Council that for tho month of August Lower Hutt purchased from Pet-one 2,785,069 c.f. of gas. of which amount 2,011,600 c.f. were retailed for domestic purposes, 201,900 c.f. for power purposes, and 87,300 c.f. for street lighting. The unaccounted for gas amounted to 17.3 per cent.
