V These teams met at Association Park, under ideal conditions, to decide the semi-final of the Charity Cup. Porirua kicked off with tho sun behind them, and immediately were in Y.M.C.A. territory, Bryce relieving with a kick down, field. Then began a series of attacks and counter-attacks, both teams striving to gain the ascendency. Half-time arrived without a score on either side. Tho second half onetiod with Y.M.C.A. attacking, Wi Neera saving ( brilliantly I fhno and again. The Porirua halves were placing well, -but their forwards lacked finish. Y.M.C.A. were not to bo denied. Trott, who was playing a magnificent game, carpeted tho ball to L. Smith, who shot from a difficult angle, malting no mistake about it. After this Y.M.CLA. had the best of the. game, Trott finishing a beautiful passing rush by scoring. Atkinson, Ballard, and K. Smith participated in the effort. Tho game ended shortly afterwards, Y.M.C.A. winning by two goals to -nil. Mr. C. J. AVnrd controlled tho game. SCOUTS’ BANNER. Saturday’s results were as follow:— St. Thomas 3 v.
