THE BROOKLYN CLUB// On Saturday the last run of the season. was held by the Brooklyn Harriers at Seatoun, the event being a 2J-mile road race. Considering the lateness of tho season, there./ was quite, a entry, tho competitors being sent on their journey by Mr Shetland. The course started from the tram terminus and led round the sea-front 'for slightly over a nfile and a quarter, and then turned back. About three-quarters of a mile on the way Missen arid Willis were in the,, lead, with Hocking and i Poutawera close up, tho rest of the field being well strung out. Shortly after this Missen, Pautawera, and Dalmer retired, and, on turning back, Todd camo up and took tho lead. At this point Austin and Futter challenged his supremacy, but Todd, cracking on the pace, cleared right awav from the field, ryqt won by 100 yards. Result: —L. Todd (55sec.). 1; G. Austin (35sec.), 2; J. Futter (30sec.), 3. Time, 14min. 30sec. Actual time of winner, 13min. 45sec. G C. Shmvcod finished fifth. After the race the runners’ and supporters were entertained to tea by the committee, when Mr. J. O. Shorland congratulated the club on a. very successful season. , OLYMPIC CLUB. ® On Saturday afternoon the consolation race of the above club was held from Island Bay. Messrs. M'Cormick and Wiren laid the trail, but instead of three miles it was nearer four. Starting from tho swimming sheds, French, the limit man, made the most of his start, and when the Happy Valley road was reached was still ahead. Up the valley for a couple of hundred yards, and) then up the cutting which leads to Island , Bay, ho was still well ahead, but Wiggins, Bell, K. Beaglehole, and Craig were catching up. From the top of the cutting .the trail' branched .to the left on to the hills. Here Beaglehole took the lead, with Craig, the scratch man, fast catching up. The 1 ates seemed to be against Craig, for just as he about made up the big handicaps he had been called upon to give away, he developed a severe stitch. From the hills the paper led back to the .tram line via the Chinamen’s gardens. Going down the tramlines Beaglehole increased Ills’ lead, and won comfortably in twentyeight • minutes, with Craig second and Wiggins third. After the run, Messrs. Wiggins and Kennelly entertained the runners and friends at afternoon tea. During the afternoon Mr. tPhilp thanked the treasurer, Mr: Power, for the services he has! rendeted the club, and Mr Scatchard thanked tlie hosts and the club trainer, Mr. Shaw, for his ever-ready help an,d advice. The club has entered two teams for the Bennett Memorial Shield. : WELLINGTON. CLUB.

The final run of the seaso'ri took place on Saturday, when tho club m?inbors and lady supporters ivere the 'gueste of Mr. Ellison and Mrs. Press, Mirtunar. IVith a view of picking the team for tho road race,- two packs were formed, tho A'leam. conceding two minutes start to the B team for a run through from Ono Street, Miramar, via the tram lino to tho foot of Onepu Road, L)'ril Bay. And back. W. Watson and F. Farrington for the B team wore the first men to finish, after a great tussle, the former winning by five yards, and F.
