SCOTTISH RAILWAYMEN
REJECT LONGER WORKING DAY AND REDUCTION T.N WAGE. (Rec. September 26, 5.5 p.m.) London, September 26. Five thousand Scottish railwaymen mot at Edinburgh on Sunday and rejected the companies’ proposals to fix a ton-hour working day, and impose a ss. cut weekly. It was also resolved to resist any attempt to separate the Scottish from tlio English and ivelfflh workers.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
