VALUABLE RADIUM
LENT TO OXFORD UNIVERSITY FOR EXPERIMENTAL PURPOSES (Rec. September 26, S p.jn.) London, September 26. Professor Soddy has arrived in London from Czeoho-Slovakia with two grammes of radium, which ImVe b’eon lent to Oxford University for' fifteen years, after which it will lie returned to Czecho-Slovakia. Tho radium, which is valued nt .£70,000, is the biggest and most costly consignment ever moved. The Foreign Office will take custody of tho radium until Professor Sbddy removes it to Oxford, where it will be used for experimental purposes.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
