DAMAGE BY FIRE «, HOUSE AT NELSON DESTROYED. By Telegraph —Preen Association. Nelson, September 26. An eight-roomed wooden house on Wakefield Quay, owned and occupied by Mr. Fatten, was destroyed by fire early this morning, together with the contents. The owner was away at the time. Mrs. Fatten and three young children escaped in their night attire. An outbreak of fire occurred at tho Lower Hutt Fire Brigade Station at about 6.35 last evening. The fire was confined to a cupboard .in which miscellaneous articles were stored. The fire was got under before it had an opportunity of spreading. The fire engine and reel were untouched, and tho cupboard suffered very little damage. Tlie origin is unknown. Tho above report should prompt those who are uninsured to call on the Australian Provincial Assurance Assn., Ltd., (A.P.A.), 219 Lambton Quay. 'Phone 70. —Advt.
