September 24, 5.5 p.m.) • Delhi, September 23. j The rebels ambushed a British patrol, but were defeated, seven being killed and two wounded. There have been several skirmishes wtih rebels, who are drilling and having musketry practice. Their leader compels the working classes to’ dig trtinohes, erect barricades, reap crops,' and destroy roads and bridges.
