Wedding at Napier.
The marriage was celebrated on Wednesday morning, September 21, at St. John’s Cathedral, Napier, by the I ery Rev. Dean Mayne, of Miss Rita Judd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Judd, of Napier, and Mr. Trevor Smith, son of Mr. W. T. Smith, of Thames. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a petal frock of soft white crepe de chene, stitched with white wool and an embroidered tulle veil falling from a winged cap was fastened with a circlet of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet ,of shell pink and white hya cinths, stocks, and fern. The bridesmaids, Misses Nina and Rose Judd, were in shell pink magyar frocks embroidered in two shades of rose silks, and petal hats of black shadow lace, lined with shell pink. They carried bouquets of rose-coloured flowers. The best man was Mr. F. N. Thompson, and the groomsman Mr. P. K.' Kingdom After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Judd held a reception at their home,in Cameron Road, at which were present only relatives and intimate friends pf the bride and bridegroom. The wedding breakfast was served in j:he drawing-room, which was gay with masses of pink flowers. A white wedding bell was suspended over the bride and bridegroom. Mrs. Judd received her guests in an amethyst crepe de chefie frock and a black crinoline straw hat trimmed with sprays of lilac. Miss Olive Judd was in a powder-blue taffetas frock, ornamented with eyelet embroidery, and a rosestraw hat, lined with fawn. Miss M'Quaide, aunt of the bridegroom, wore a navy charmeuso frock, relieved with lemon, ■ and a navy and lemon hat. Later, Mr. and Mrs. Trevor .Smith left on their wedding journey, the bride travelling in a coat and skirt of stoneblue gaberdine and a gold lace hat lined with deep brown tulle.
