An exchange records that at a sitting of the Juvenile Court at Greymouth a youtli was charged with using obscene language over the telephone. SeniorSergeant M’Carthy stated that complaints had been made by the girls in the Telephone Exchange. The language objected io was used by the boy to a former employer. At the time of the offence he was accompanied by another hoy. Mr. Moldrum, S.M., warned the boy to keep better company, and said that any further offences would not receive lenient treatment. Attention is drawn to the advertisement cf lira li-t of centenary meetings in connection with the Methodist Church in the Wellington district.
