Speaking at a meeting of tho Eltham Dairy Co, Air. 11. IL Forsyth (chairman of directors) touched ou tho cost of marine insurance, which had coot the company £l9OO last year. Ho said that he noticed that Mr. .1. R. Corrigan (chairman of the llnwora Dairy Company) had suggested that dairy companies should undertake their own niarinci insurance, nnd AH*, l-orsytli considered that the idea was a good ono. Tn this connection ho pointed out tho success that had followed the estahlishmeii! of the Farmers’ Mutual Insurance Co., which had earned profits amounting f.> £12.000. If this success could be achieved with fire insurance he thought it also could bo done with marine insurance.
