SEATOUN BOWLING CLUB
On Friday evening members of the Seatoun Bowling Club assembled to .welcome ne-w members. The vice-presiaent Afr. Geo. Lauchlan, occupied the chair, in the absence through illness of the president, Mr. S. M. Stone The chairman referred to the loss of an esteemed member, the late Mr W. Espie end mentioned that a cl’ib trophy won by Mr. Espie had been handed back by the relative for competition by niembert as a token of remembrance of there late clubmate.' Opportunity was taken to formally present to winners trophire won in last season’s club .contests, and it was announced that valuable trophies had been donated for competition during the ensuing season. The various sub-committees reported ns to the club’s activities, and the secretary stated that already over 50 per cent ‘ increase in membership had been reached as compared with last gt,aso " figures. The official ° f the green was set dowp for October 1. The toasts of the evening were: The King” "Our New Members," 'Successful Season, 1921-1922.” and The Sea ; toun Bowling and Tennis Club, Ltd., and a. programme of musical items and etories completed a most enjoyable ar.d successful meetinz.
