FLIGHT ROUND AUSTRALIA
PARER MAKES ANOTHER START. (Rec. September 19, 8.10 p.m.) Melbourne, September 19. Lieutenant Parer has resumed his flight round Australia.—Presg Assn. [Lieutenant Parer, accompanied ,by Mark Parer and ■ Anthony Kaye, left Melbourne on August 3, in a biting wind, with hail and rain, but after travelling forty miles his engines developed trouble. He landed safely, and sent his companions away to obtain wood for overhauling purposes. While away Parer started to overhaul the machine, but the strong wind overbalanced him, and his legs and feet were caught in tho revolving propeller. A big toe was broken and both feet badly bruised. Ho kWas suffering severely from exposure tvhen his companions returned, and was removed to hospital.]
