SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY
The seafaring guests of Mrs. E. C. Adams were fully rewarded at her concert at the Sailors’ Friend Society on Thursday, when her programme satisfied all tastes. The performers were: Mesdames Adams, Townley, Misses Adams, J. Lewis, and. Messrs. D. Anderson, E. C. Adams, Lyons, Monk. Gould, Gordon. Meedames Townley and Strong wero at the piano. In thanking the hostess and workers, Mr. Moore made a plea for discarded reading matter for voyages before the men. The competition prizes were donated by the hostess and. well-wishers, and went to the Amokura and Durham.
