PLUNKET HOME APPEAL

A public meeting has been called by His Worship the Mayor, to take place at 8 o’clock this evening in the Council Chamber, Town Hall. Proposals for forwarding the Plunket Home appeal will bo discussed, and it is hoped that all those who are interested in tho progress of the Plunket ;Society’s work in Wellington will attend. The movement now under way has-attracted wido approval, the necessity* for a new home and Karitane Hospital being apparent to everyone. What has now to be decided are the' ways and means of securing the money required. The promoters anticipate a large and enthusiastic meeting tonight.
