MATERNAL MORTALITY
s 3* THE SPECIAL COMMITTEE’S REPORT. The committee appointed by the Minister of Health (Hon. C. J. Parr) to investigate the question of mortality in maternity cases in New Zealand met again vesterday, and heard the evidence of Dr." Paget, of Palmerston. Dr. Paget presented tho views of the Palmerston branch of the British Medical Association. The gathering of evidence has now been completed by the committee, and a draft report has been prepared. This report will be completed at a future meeting, and will then be submitted to the Board of Health. The Minister indicated yesterday that the report would contain some important recommendations.
