GIGANTIC BATTLEPLANE
TESTS AT FARNBOROUGH. (Rec. August 30, 10.30 p.m.) London, August 29. Flying tests -are being carried out at Farnborough with a gigantic SiddeleyCurtis battleplane heavily armoured and protected on each side with machine-gun galleries. The craft weighs 94 tons, and is equipped with twin Siddeley-Deaeoy engines, each of 420 horse-power. The ’plane is designed to act also as a bomber. — Service.
