CHARGES AGAINST THE OWNER

Mosley, »S.M- on hve counts with breaches of the Coal Mmes Act and regulations. 'I he first charge was of negligence, by which an employee John Hector Robinson, lost his l ]| e by a fall of coal on Mny 17 last, lhe other charges alleged neglect to comply with section 41, rule 2, of the second schedule ■and with section 24, in that lie did not annoint or act as an underviewer, and did not nmkb every part of the nnne safe” Defendant stated that ho directed his employee te leave the place where Gate "dismissed/ without prejudice the thlr and fined him £3 on the other charges thflt defendant hid paid .compensation to the widow of deceased.
