Appreciation of the work of the lata Mrs. M. A. Williams, who did so much' td found the Sailors’ Friend Society in Wellington, was expressed by the larga attendance at the anniversary gathering of the society last night. Mr. E. P. Hay, in moving a resolution of appreciation, said the institution was for all men’, of all creeds- The vote was passed in silence, the, attendance standing.
