Messrs. Levin and Co. report:— At Bulls sale on Monday a small yarding came forward, which met with fair competition. and practically all changed hands at late rates. Good dairy cows sold well under good competition At Feilding on Friday we had it small yarding of sheep and a fair entry of cattle. Fat sheep sold well at late rates. There was only one pen of breeding ewes to Southdown rams, which sold at 90s Id. under keen competition. Dairy cattle, especially heifers, close to profit, wero in advance of late sales, while yearling Jersey and Jersey cross heifers were very keenly sought after. A single pen of fat Hereford cows sold at £8 14s. Store cattle, of which there was a fair entry, met with little competition, and prices were low. The Farmers’ Co-oncrative Auctioneering 00.,.Ltd., report:—At Hamilton on Thursday, wo yarded 300 head of cattle, 400 sheep, and 250 pigs, practically the whole of which was cleared. The quality of the beef was a great improvement on recent sales and met with strong competition, values advancing considerably. Best bollocks made to £l4 12s 6d.; medium. £lO to £ll 155.; lighter weights. £8 to £8 17s. 6d.; fat cows made to £l5 55., for an extra prime heifer from Mr. F R.
