On August 4 the Conciliation Council was convened in Dunedin to discuss the mining dispute with a view (o arriving at a local agreement in Otago. Ihe union it will bo remembered was not represented and an adjournment was, therefore, made. The adjourned sitting will come on at Dunedin on August 23. The next sitting in connection with local mining disputes sot down at Auckland on August 30.
